4 lawsuits filed against Pa. juvenile detention center allege a decade of sexual abuse
Four people formerly incarcerated as teenagers in a Berks County juvenile detention center have filed federal civil rights lawsuits claiming they endured years of sexual abuse by center employees.
The plaintiffs, all of whom are now adults, allege staff members at Abraxas Academy in Morgantown repeatedly groped, molested and raped them over various periods of time from 2010 to 2020.
