Blizzard warning issued for Carbon and Monroe counties until Monday evening – gusts could peak at 50 mph
The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning at 2:56 a.m. on Sunday valid from 7 a.m. until Monday 6 p.m. for Carbon and Monroe counties.
"Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 24 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph," adds the weather service. "Snowfall rates could exceed 2 inches per hour. Locally higher snowfall amounts and significant drifting of snow possible."
