Democrat wins special election for Pa. House seat with balance of power at stake

The special election is for a partial term through this year’s session.

A special election Tuesday for a seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives went to the Democratic candidate, helping to preserve the party’s razor-thin majority in the chamber ahead of midterms in November.
