Northern Erie and Crawford County placed under a winter weather advisory until 1 a.m. Saturday
On Friday at 1:31 a.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid from 7 a.m. until Saturday 1 a.m. for Northern Erie and Crawford County.
"Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches, with the greatest accumulations in the higher elevations. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph," states the weather service. "A period of light to moderate snow is expected this morning, with snow covered roads possible during and after the morning commute. After a few hours of dry weather this afternoon, snow showers and squalls, wind gusts up to 45 mph, and falling temperatures will lead to blowing and drifting snow and hazardous road conditions this evening."
