Pa. lawmakers blame ‘careless error’ for mixup with Lehigh County mail-in ballots

Pennsylvania Democratic lawmakers representing Lehigh County said Tuesday, May 5, 2026, that tens of thousands of voters who requested mail-in ballots for the May 19 primary election didn't receive them, while others who voted by mail last fall got ballots they never requested this year.

Two weeks before Pennsylvania’s primary election, state Democratic lawmakers said Tuesday there is a problem with vote-by-mail ballots sent out in Lehigh County.
