Prepare for snow showers in part of Pennsylvania until Tuesday night
A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 4:47 p.m. for snow showers until 11 p.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Clarion, Jefferson and Indiana counties.
"Scattered snow showers and localized heavier bands of snow will continue through the evening rush hour. Visibility could briefly be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less in the heaviest snow showers. Road temperatures remain warm, but will cool with sunset, and heavy rates could produce a quick coating and slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses. Use caution if you encounter a heavy snow shower while traveling," says the weather service.
