Thunderstorms with nickel-sized hail in Northern Erie and Southern Erie Monday – gusts may reach 40 mph

A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 11:47 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.

The storms may bring wind gusts of up to 40 mph and nickel-sized hail (0.88 inches).
