Update: Be prepared for strong winds and heavy snow in Southeast Pa. until Monday morning
An updated weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 2:02 a.m. for strong winds and heavy snow until 6 a.m. for Eastern Montgomery as well as Delaware, Philadelphia and Bucks counties.
"Bands of heavy snow will continue to develop and push inland into New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania through early this morning. Snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour have been observed, and will continue impacting the area through the predawn hours. Additionally, winds gusting up to 45 mph inland, and up to 60 mph along the coast will result in areas of blowing snow and blizzard conditions. Whiteout conditions will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening," comments the weather service.
