Update: Northern Erie and Southern Erie under a winter storm watch until Tuesday morning
The National Weather Service released an updated winter storm watch at 2:04 a.m. on Sunday valid from 10 p.m. until Tuesday 7 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.
"Heavy lake effect snow possible. Potential for 6 inches or more of accumulation," adds the weather service. "Widespread light snow is expected today, although impacts will be minimal. Lake enhanced snow will develop this evening with periods of moderate to heavy snowfall possible late tonight and Monday."
