Update: Winter weather advisory issued for Northeast Pa. until early Wednesday
An updated winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 8:40 p.m. in effect until Wednesday at midnight for Southern Wayne as well as Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne and Pike counties.
"Freezing rain. Additional ice accumulations around a trace of ice," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Light showers will move into the region this evening, there is a short window where freezing rain is possible leading to slippery roads and sidewalks."
