Weather alert issued for thunderstorms and gusty winds in part of Pennsylvania Saturday night
A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Saturday at 7:31 p.m. for thunderstorms and gusty winds until 9:45 p.m. for Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver and Armstrong counties.
"At 7:30 pm, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of showers and thunderstorms across northwest Pennsylvania and northern Ohio, moving southeast at 35 mph. These storms will move across the area between 8:45 pm and 10:00 pm. Wind gusts from 40 to 50 mph will be possible with these storms," states the weather service.
