Annual whitewater release to create rapids in Bucks County this month

A boat travels in October 2019 across Lake Nockamixon in Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County. The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources plans to release water from Lake Nockamixon into Tohickon Creek on Saturday and Sunday, March 21-22, 2026, creating whitewater conditions that will draw skilled paddlers from across the Northeast.
