New Lehigh County chief elections clerk named weeks ahead of 2026 primary

Michael Paston, a Montgomery County elections veteran, faces a confirmation vote Tuesday, April 28, 2026, by the Lehigh County Board of Elections to become the new chief clerk of elections. He would start May 4 ahead of the May 19 primary in the swing county.

The Lehigh County Board of Elections is set to meet Tuesday to confirm Michael Paston as the county’s new chief clerk of elections, filling a position left vacant since March.
