PIAA swimming and diving championships: Silver lining for Saucon Valley senior
Julia Cort concluded her stellar Saucon Valley High School swimming career with her best finish ever at the PIAA Class 2A swimming and diving championships Saturday night at Bucknell University’s Kinney Natatorium.
The senior, who will swim for the University of Richmond, earned a silver medal in the 100-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 51.00 seconds. The second-place effort ended Cort’s string of three consecutive bronze medals that came in last year’s 50 and 100 freestyle finals and Friday’s 50 freestyle.
