Update: Blizzard warning issued for Carbon and Monroe counties until Monday evening – gusts could peak at 50 mph
The National Weather Service issued an updated blizzard warning at 2:39 a.m. on Monday in effect until 6 p.m. for Carbon and Monroe counties.
"Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph," can be expected according to the weather service. "Snowfall rates could exceed 1 inch per hour. Locally higher snowfall amounts and significant drifting of snow possible."
